It is with much excitement; Power Inc. Community inquires a partnership in participation of Project Harmony to benefit local parents and children in need. The purpose of Power Inc. Community, also known as Parents Owning Wealth Through Education & Resiliency, is a nonprofit organization 501 (c) (3) with a mission to empower and equip parents to obtain essential resources, life skills and ultimately become self-sufficient while facing everyday challenges. Our mission is to enrich single parents through the power of unity by mentoring, community service and networking events while helping them recognize a potential to attain excellence through the journey of parenthood.

Within the Raleigh/ Durham communities, there is an abundant need for pre- and post-natal assistance within the single parent community. Our intention in hosting a community wide shower, is to assist in bridging the gap between parents and young children and financial, medical, and social support. Project Harmony is a community initiative that supplies necessities and resources to single, married, foster and adoptive expecting parents and children up to 12 months and single, married, foster and adoptive parents with children between the ages of 1 to 3 years. We hope our efforts reach as many families in abundance as possible, in that it may lessen any worries in the preparedness of welcoming a new loved one or maintaining a healthy living environment for existing children.
